Thanks to the support of USDA, faculty from the University of Missouri’s School of Journalism have developed a free online training course on Risk Communication, designed specifically for people who work in plant health regulatory capacities in Africa, but with lessons that are useful for public sector and researchers worldwide.
The training is designed to enhance learners’ ability to communicate effectively about pesticides within media narratives. Participants will gain insights into addressing misconceptions and managing reputations with focused risk assessment, management and communication strategies.
